opinions on \link{http://www.boden.co.uk/col.asp?segname=Women&styid=WA137&segid=6&gpname=Shirts%2FWoven+Tops&desname=Long+Linen+Shirt&gpid=28&gen=\this shirt} on short legs. I totally love it, and I think the long line of it will be slimming and will cover the bum, but there won't be much left of my legs. It's only for holiday - think it would be nice to wear over a swimming costume. Permanent dilemma for people with short legs and bums they don;t want to flaunt.

I look ridiculous in long tops as I'm only 5'4".Anything that stops at hips or above is fine though.

LadyCodofCOdford · 04/06/2006 16:32

so tis a cover up?

i liek it
need to let the bottom flap open though

motherinferior · 04/06/2006 17:03

It would suit you. Not that you need slimming, actually.

FrannyandZooey · 04/06/2006 17:16

I think it looks like a lab coat on the model so that would put me off for starters :)

No reason why it wouldn't look nice on you just because you are short.

MamaG · 04/06/2006 17:17

I really like it, I'm 5' 3" and would wear it as a cover up on beach (open, or just middle 2 buttons fastened) but I prob wouldn't wear it "out" as I think it wold look crap on me with trousers - would prob come to my knees :(

thewomanwhothoughtshewasahat · 04/06/2006 17:19

I have just seen that it's £55. bit steep for holiday wear. especially as holiday this year is only going to be a week long

I agree mamag, I do think it would look crap on me with trousers, but - as below - can I justify £55 for a beachey cover up?

expatinscotland · 04/06/2006 17:32

i like i like!

but i'm only 5ft., 3in. and that would drown me.

MamaG · 04/06/2006 17:42

£55 for beach cover up....well, will you wear it every day? Will you be buying loads of other things for holiday?

It's a classic style and won't look out of date when you next go on holiday and I think you could wear it again and again Wink

zoeuk1 · 04/06/2006 17:44

you could wear it undone with a coloured top underneath like a jacket too. in the evenings etc.

MamaG · 04/06/2006 17:45

How tall are you?

zoeuk1 · 04/06/2006 17:47

who?

fullmoonfiend · 04/06/2006 17:50

i want the green one. (Can I wear it with cropped trews cod?) I'm 5ft 6'?

MamaG · 04/06/2006 17:53

sorry Zoe, was asking thewomanwhothoughtshewasahat (phew) - I'm 5 3 and it woudl look shite on me as a jacket - anything below the hips makes me look rubbish :)

thewomanwhothoughtshewasahat · 04/06/2006 20:06

5 ft 1 on a good day. so limited beach use only for me Grin but agree that for such purposes it wouldn;t date

cod! Shock Don't say things like that! Don't ever admit being wrong or not being an expert... it'd be like Delia saying, 'actually, I hate cooking and usually just have pot noodles for me dinner''
