Clarisonic: what (hippy/eco) cleanser can I use?

Have given up on Dr Hauschka cleanser, now use a Weleda almond milk.
Going to get me a clarisonic (and a babyliss big hair, but that's another thread..)
Think clarisonic needs a foaming cleanser?
Any recommendations for a quality, no SLES, SLS, parabens cleanser for incredibly sensitive spot prone skin please?
TIA!

Watching with interest.

I've been using my clarisonic with Eve Lom cleanser. I have sensitive skin that's dry and prone to spots and blotchiness. The Eve Lom cleanser calmed it and the clarisonic has improved the tone and seems to make other products work better.

Ooh, eve lom, okay, noted -thanks.
Any other suggestions v welcome.

Gosh, is quite costly £85 for 200ml. You'd be gutted if you left it in hand luggage by mistake!

Dr Alkaitis - no argument.

And surely no decent hippy eco cleanser should do anything as artificial as "foaming". Smile

You can use anything that you would usually use with water (and flannel/sponge/face brush).

I have used soap bar type of cleansers, foamy ones (come out of the bottle as foam), creamy ones are supposed to be used on wet skin and shower gel type of texture.

The ones that wouldn't work are the ones that are to be used on a cotton pad without water.

I've used Dior, Clinique, Clarisonic's own cleansers and some other cheaper ones - all containing all the stuff you don't want.

caramelgirl · 04/07/2013 22:37

Ooh, somethingyesterday, thanks for Alkaitis tip. Looks a bit more me- noticed Eve Lom, which admittedly looks great and appeals to my shallow Vogue impressed self, is paraffin based Confused which is not super hippy.
Tell me about the non foaminess of hippy stuff- DD is gutted most bath times and would really really like Matey. But she has inherited naff skin from me and her dad, so no chance.
Do you buy Alkaitis in the UK or cheaper from the States?

I never put anything on my face apart from oil as a moisturiser. I just splash with water in the bath / shower and rub with a nice rough towel to dry. I think that is pretty Eco friendly Grin but I don't wear much make up either. I am a scruffy old hippy though.

caramelgirl · 04/07/2013 22:46

Thanks for feedback vibbe my creamy almond cleanser might work then.
notjenkins you are v lucky if you can get away with that! I have a constant battle against icky skin- hence clarisonic plan. Tbh the Eco hippy stance is more for my benefit (preserving protective mantle of skin) than for planet [reveals self as doubly shallow and selfish and spot prone, oh dear]

Smile Happy to be of service! I think there's a UK site but this

www.beingcontent.com/skincare/cleansers/wash/organic-purifying-facial-cleanser.htm

is my source. Free samples with orders! And you only need a tiny amount so it can last a year.

Somethingyesterday · 04/07/2013 23:20

That is UK obv but not just Dr Alkaitis!

caramelgirl · 05/07/2013 08:25

Oh I know Content- was set up by friend of a friend. Will give her a call. Thank you!

Dr Alkaitis looks wonderful but very expensive! Have you tried Aubrey Organics? It's a US range but you can get it in the UK. It is great quality and I think really good value for the quality. Their stuff has totally cleared up my skin.

I use this cleanser Aubrey Organics cleanser but you can also get different types for sensitive skin, oily skin etc.

Housewife2010 · 05/07/2013 10:53

The PAI cream cleanser is lovely & has very natural ingredients.

Icelollycraving · 05/07/2013 12:02

If you fancy Eve Lom but want paraben free try Emma Hardy or Ren do a balm cleanser.
