I've got until the 13th to find outfits for my slightly dumpy DH, 20mo DS1, 5 week old DS2 & my ridiculously impossible peanut-shaped self. I'm clueless! Both DH & I live in jeans/t-shirt mostly because we don't know what else to wear. We I also wear far too much blue because it doesn't look hideous on either of us.

My main issue is that we've been told to wear colourful clothes as it'll be on a white background & we're not very colourful people! We had the same photos done when DS1 was little & had a last minute scramble to find clothes that weren't pastels. I can see us ending up wearing the exact same outfits this time!

I always have trouble finding clothes. I'm only 5' but with relatively long legs. Skinny calves but huge thighs/hips & I'm currently a 34E thanks to DS2's arrival. I've still got a bit of flabbiness on my belly too so either need a loose-ish top or something I can wear giant control pants under! Grin

We're on a tight budget at the moment but just got told that DH is getting a small promotion so we can just about afford a new outfit each if we don't get anything too extravagant! Anyone got any ideas about where we could go other than my usual M&S? Or, better yet, does anyone want to pick out outfits for us & tell me exactly what to buy?! Wink

I hate clothes shopping!

Personally, I quite like family photos where each member is wearing the same bottom half (jeans for example, albeit fairly smart ones), and a different top of the same style (so, all wearing red tshirts, but different style some with sleeves, some sleeveless, etc). HTH

We had some photos done a few years ago. The photographer told us to wear jeans and either a black or white t-shirt (all of us the same). I rebelled for some photos as I love wearing colour! But the best photos (and the only ones we bought) were with the outfits he suggested. It makes you look at the faces not the bodies in the photograph and looked very effective in a large framed print.
Might save you buying anything new Wink

I have the most fabulous family photo on the wall. I look several dress sizes smaller than I was as I am lying on my front :-)

We are all laughing but most importantly it looks like us, just from a very flattering angle with great lighting. It is taken against a white background.

Clothes though? I,m in jeans with a black top and maroon sweater, dh in jeans and pale blue shirt, dd age2 is in pink top.

I'd be against buying stuff that isn't you, as the photos might not look like you iyswim. By the way dh in pastels looks fine, but it might have looked washed out if we all had pastels on.

Enjoy

Katy
