my hair has gone curly!

I used to have slightly wavy hair. Now, if left to dry naturally, it almost forms ringlets.

I think it was because I did chemotherapy four years ago, but it may just be an age thing.

Has this happened to anyone else?

Should I try to straighten it or embrace the curls? I didn't grow up curly, so I'm clueless!

Embrace the curls! Boots curl creme is your new best friend. I'm Envy.

I have bought a product for curls. Helps it air dry nicer. I may get a haircut to shape things up a bit.

Should I get a diffuser? I guess that means buying a new dryer. Envy

Chemo can make your hair curlier - I think it changes the shape of the hair shaft.

I wouldn't bother with a diffuser, it always made my hair frizzy

This has happened to me too. The only thing I could think of was that I stopped taking the pill so maybe hormonal or maybe age, I'm nearly 40. I'm embracing them though like you not really sure what to do as always had straight hair.

Embrace them!! Then you can still straighten on occasion for a change. Gel spray is your friend (works for keeping my curls in check anyway)

Go for the curl! my hair did this after I had my DD 10 years ago. from slightly wavey to full on curls. I spent years straightening it but gave in (and grew it) 2 years ago. Best thing I ever did. curly hair seems unusual these days but can be so pretty.

Well, I decided to go with the curls. I put some Herbal Essences Tousel Me Softly creme in while my hair was damp and let it air fry. When it was almost dry, I put a tough of L'Oréal Elvive Extraordinary Oil on to give it a bit of shine and tame the frizz a bit more.

I really liked the results ! My hair is dark and medium/long, and it looked really striking.

And, even though I was outside all day, and it was humid, it stayed looking the same all day.

Much easier than trying to straighten!

Air dry. Not air fry. Blush
