I've just failed at my 2nd cycle of IVF and DH has booked a lovely 2 week holiday in Greece. I've just looked at all my holiday bits and really I should be taking them to the dump rather than the airport!

I'm after a bit of a capsule wardrobe. I will reuse anything I can't buy, but I want to feel good about myself rather than shabby :(

I'd planned to go to Westfield today but my post IVF period has started and i'm in agony and it's pretty yucky, so the thought of trying things on let alone leaving the sofa bathroom. Isn't possible :(

I'm 5ft, size 8, size 3 shoe, blond, big boobs, nearly 40 :(

Please help me feel ok about my self.

thank you.

Hi Karbea, so sorry to hear about the IVF. You must feel terrible.

Buy yourself some new clothes as a start. How about some lovely maxi dresses (Banana Republic, White Company, Gap have lovely ones). Then sme cropped trousers with wedges (again, banana republic do fab ones). At your tiny size, you can match these with cheap ribbed vests from anywhere really (Fat Face have some great ones at the mo in the sale), a cool linen shirt for evenings and a maxi skirt or shorts, which again can be worn with the vests.

Best of luck, am sure you're heartbroken at the moment

I bought some nice denim shorts from Fatface - lovely and soft.

Karbea I'm so sorry to hear about your IVF.

I'd start with swimwear. Have you got a decent bikini? Are your boobs in Bravissimo territory or can you get away with standard bikinis (I think Debenhams have some cup sized swimwear too which I've heard +ve comments about)

I'd find a really nice bikini first and then use those colours to build your capsule wardrobe I think. Oly listed lots of good ideas for items to buy and places to look for them. What are your favourite colours to wear? I think capsule wardrobes work best if you pick 2 neutral colours and then 1 or 2 accent colours and work from there.

Hope you have a lovely holiday. Be kind to yourself x
