Must have some kind of sleeves. Ideally mid length

The tough bit:my hips are a really weird shape, so the fabric needs to be quite stiff iykwim? Jersey looks terrible because it clings to my awful hips.

Ideally a pencil shape to the skirt. One I can have in my wardrobe and fall back on for lots of different occasions. So that I don't end up on my way to a "do" looking and feeling terrible because it was all a bit last minute and nothing I have is/or looks right.

I have searched for years....

Pompbear I swear by this dress. It's cotton, and not quiet as clingy as jersey, so can get away without head-to-toe Spanx. I've bought two in case something happens to the first one, seriously. It's perfect. I know it's slightly over-budget, but only a tiny bit, and it's such a good dress

Wow thank you, I'm going to try most of these. I've never really seen anything I like in pepperberry tho. And the problem isn't my curves, its the shape of them- my hips go out, in out. Likea capital B shape on each hip, so if the material isn't clingy, it skims over the fist bump but doesn't cling to the bit that goes in, so it gives the illusion if a nice shape- if that makes any sense at all??!!
