How do I achieve the natural beauty look with make up?!

Yesterday I met a lady at work who looked amazing. Groomed, tanned skin but not orange, subtle minimal make up but defining i.e thin black eyeliner on top lid, subtle lip colour. She looked so natural and healthy but I could tell she was wearing make up. I wish I could just ask people like this how they achieve the look but don't want to appear like a stalkerish weirdo!!

So I am asking you ladies, what products achieve this look? I have a drawer full of make up most of which doesn't suit me and added up I've wasted a small fortune!

I just want a few good products that make me look healthy, groomed and not tired or washed out, as my boss kindly often tells me I look!
Thanks for any suggestions.

Is it about the products or the application?
Maybe tinted moisturiser and lip stain, subtle blusher.

Sounds like make-up on top of great skin to me. The more care I take over my skin, the more my make-up acts as a final polish.

How often are you exfoliating? Are you using the right serum?

BB cream, mineral powder or tinted moisturiser. Brown black mascara, nude lip gloss. Have eyelashes/ eyebrows tinted. A luminising primer under make up is good.

Lisa Eldridge is good at doing the natural looks: www.lisaeldridge.com/video/everyday-looks/

Might be worth having a look at how she does the makeup to get some inspiration for products, colours and methods.

And this one is the one AFAIC! www.lisaeldridge.com/video/17770/no-make-up-make-up/

If you look washed out you could possibly have made the same mistake as me. I'm pale so I always bought makeup for cool toned skin. I didn't realise you can be pale and warm toned. Putting away the pink toned powders and barbie colour lipsticks has made a big difference to how I look.
