so far everything is either a) suede or b) leather with ridiculous heels....
I need mid heel, elastic or zip, no laces, no buckles, so far have tried:
Pied a Terre/Dune/Bertie
LK Bennett
Hobbs
Jigsaw
Boden (they have a pair but the leather is not the nicest)
any suggestions gratefully received!
Thx!

Russell and Bromley have a nice selection on their website.

Recommend Duo for good ankle boots.

New Look. Loooooooads of their boots are in the sale at the moment - I got some last week.

Have a look at my friend's boots- David Preston shoes.

They are mostly men's but he does have some women's sizes. They are fantastic quality.

Hudson do some lovely ankle boots. I have a style called 'bronte'; it is so comfortable and the leather is really soft.

thanks all, R&B/Hudson/David Preston are closer to what I'm after!

Do you like the Acne Pistol? acne pistol

Top Shop did a £45 version last year if you don't want to spend that much. I have the Acne pair & they are incredibly comfortable, only problem is they don't look right with smart straight legged trousers, too boring looking. You need to be able to see the heel & zip. I think you need a pointier boot with a wider leg than drain pipes.

I've got a great pair of Ecco ankle boots, lovely soft leather and dead comfy.

Totally irrelevant but I find the expression "buttery leather" so bizarre. I think it is because I picture leather smothered in butter when I read it. Anyway, just sharing.
