I felt like Wonder Woman Grin.

Then, I felt like Crotch-Rummaging Woman after 3x comfort breaks.

I am undecided.

Just remember to do it up when you go to the loo after a few drinks...

not a good look. Wink

Edinbugger · 26/06/2013 18:35

This post makes me feel absolutely ancient. I've probably got a body in a drawer somewhere that's older than you, OP. And they were just as uncomfortable first time round. :)

bulletwithbutterflywings · 26/06/2013 18:36

ugh. I remember wearing them when I was about 8... chafey crotch is not an experience I want to repeat!

PiratePanda · 26/06/2013 18:37

They're not back in fashion are they?

superbagpuss · 26/06/2013 18:38

I'm another that remembers them from the early nineties
are they back in fashion then?

ItsAllTLAsToMe · 26/06/2013 18:38

See, I'd like a vest that holds me in, but the one that I have rides up. I thought that a body was the answer.

Trying to do them up when you are really pissed is very difficult and can be quite painful!

ItsAllTLAsToMe · 26/06/2013 18:40

Ah, mine is an underwear body. Is that still called a body?

I lifted up my top to show it to DS - he said Mummy, where's your tummy button Grin?

OhBuggerandArse · 26/06/2013 18:44

Perhaps one benefit of all the young 'uns being Bald Down Below is that they won't have to have that very painful but seemingly inevitable poppers caught in pubes experience?

MollyBerry · 26/06/2013 18:59

Whats a body....
I thought everyone had one all the time?!

ItsAllTLAsToMe · 27/06/2013 13:30

Molly Grin, it's a top with a crotch - like a swimsuit but with crutch poppers.

ItsAllTLAsToMe · 27/06/2013 13:31

OhBugger, I very much might have that experience yet! Oh my.

temporary · 27/06/2013 13:58

I want one, but only thought only Wolford did them at an extortionate price.

ItsAllTLAsToMe · 27/06/2013 18:00

temporary, mine is from M&S, and wasn't extortionate.

Next stop, Spanx.

Ohh ItsAllTLAsToMe I haev one from years ago from H&M! I bought it for abllet and thought it was weird they were selling leotards. Literally years and years ago! Nice bright pink :P

MollyBerry · 27/06/2013 18:34

ballet*

Notcontent · 27/06/2013 22:05

Gosh, yes, I remember those!!

chickensaladagain · 27/06/2013 22:13

I can remember being a little bit worse for wear in a pub toilet, leaning forward balancing myself with my head on the door and trying to catch the back bit between my legs

I may have done thus more than once

You would quite often see women in pubs who had obviously given up trying to fasten them and had the back poking out of their jeans!

Amazinggg · 27/06/2013 22:28

I loved the one I had when I was about 12, mum thought it was really inappropriate but I loved it. It was from River Island and was cream with red flowers on and short sleeves.

It was basically the same shape as the vests my baby wears.

PoppyWearer · 27/06/2013 22:30

Ugh, no. Never again. I had a couple as a teen no wonder they were always in the New Look sale.

I am long of body, short of leg. They always always rode up. I ended up undoing them. Horrid things.

Devora · 27/06/2013 22:34

I wore them first time round and always found them supremely comfortable. That late 80s workplace uniform of black lycra body, black leggings or black mini with opaque tights, pixie boots, strong-coloured jacket (yes, with shoulder pads!) was so easy and comfortable and flattering. SO LONG AS you invest in good quality lycra and a cut that is sufficiently long in the body.

I'm too old to return to it now, sadly. The middle-aged version is definitely Hobbs wrap dresses.

PasswordProtected · 28/06/2013 10:54

Ihad 2. Only wore them once each, for all the reasons mentioned above. They are in really good condition for their ages (16 or so) but have just been banished to the Red Cross bag.

UtterflyButterfly · 28/06/2013 11:12

God yes, I remember them from first time round. I had two I think, but, like poppy found them too short - having a poppered gusset give you a wedgie is less than comfortable!

YouHaveBeenOutbid · 28/06/2013 11:50

"SO LONG AS you invest in good quality lycra and a cut that is sufficiently long in the body".

This is the problem - they are NEVER long enough in the body for me :( It didn't stop me spending most of my teenage years in them though!
