Alternative to linen trousers for holiday ??

Going to Turkey on hols, it will be very hot. Usually I wear linen trousers on the plane as they are comfortable, plus I like to have at least one pair of trousers with me in case it get cool in the evening or in case of mozzie attack.

But obviously linen trousers are looking and feeling a bit frumpy and middle aged for me these days. Is there a decent alternative??

I'm off on hols on Saturday and have just bought three pairs of linen cut offs . Sorry, not much help.

I've just got back from Turkey and it was very hot! Quite a few people on the plane were wearing harem pants.

Sorry, hijacking my own thread, but.....Dexter - what was the temperature like in the evening? Did you still need a cardi?

No need for a cardi! It was about 30C in the evening and 38-40C in the day.

Ooo lovely, can't wait.

Just googled harem pants and found a few, need to try some on at the weekend.

So nice and then came back here to 13C and rain

Chinos. I bought a lovely pair from Wallis with a huge discount. They are so unbelievably comfortable.

I have two pairs of H&M hareem pants they are super comfy and quite flattering.

I'm wearing these on the plane to Majorca (I know they are still linen). I had 2 pairs last year that I wore on the plane to Lanarote. They are so comfy, nice bit of elastic under the scarf belt, and don't look frumpy or end up really creased like wide linen trousers.

I wear them with a vest top, flip flops, and a denim jacket.

Fab, all those harem trousers are gorgeous, why haven't I noticed them before? I never normally go in New Look but those tapered linen ones look great. Just need to get to the shops. Urgently. Thanks all.
