So I just found this website

www.ukladybagsonline.com/mulberry-womens-tote-bags-c-24.html?page=4&sort=20a

Am really tempted to buy one of these bags as I can't really afford full price Mulberry (and I'm not picky about last season!!) just wondered if anyone has ever bought off this website / if it's genuine??

fake

uggmum · 24/06/2013 14:26

The bags will be fake and probably from abroad. If you can't afford a real one they are probably a well made alternative. It's difficult to tell a good fake from the genuine article.

Alternatively, the Mulberry shop have 40% off some of their bags or you could try one of their outlet shops for a bargain

EarlyInTheMorning · 24/06/2013 14:26

It's no good
It's not true

Vibbe · 24/06/2013 14:34

They are fake.

Keep an eye on the Mulberry sale. Also they have a couple of outlets in the UK, as well as the factory store in Shepton Mallet.

happyreindeer · 24/06/2013 14:46

They will be fake. I bought a fake one. It is beautiful quality. I bought mine in a charity shop for £50.

happyreindeer · 24/06/2013 14:46

Their is a good artcle ob ebay on how to tell fakes from genuine.

happyreindeer · 24/06/2013 14:47

There*

Don't do it. Anyone who knows their bags will spot a fake straight off. Rather embarrassing. Better to spend your money on an alternative brand genuine leather bag if you can't afford a Mulberry.

snowgal · 24/06/2013 15:18

I can't help thinking that someone who knows their bags that well must be a pretty sad person! I guess it depends on what circles you move in OP, tbh I would be embarrassed my friends knowing that I'd spent £700+ on a handbag.

MardyPants · 24/06/2013 15:20

I'd rather do without than have a fake! Guess I'm best off sticking to my £30 Paul's Boutique TK Maxx bargain Wink Thanks!

It is a shame that you lack confidence, Snowgal. Happily, most adult women are comfortable with the decisions and purchases we make.

snowgal · 24/06/2013 16:35

OK I should reword that: I would be embarrassed if I ever spent £700+ on a handbag. I appreciate that many people inhabit a world where spending that amount on a bag is OK, and good luck to them, I was merely saying that if I spend £100 on bag with no distinctive labels/branding then that makes me more comfortable than showing off how much money I have with a very apparent brand. Each to their own I guess!

propertyNIGHTmareBEFOREXMAS · 24/06/2013 16:38

Perhaps you could save your money up and buy a bench, yes a lovely sturdy bench and put it in a public place for members of the public to sit on and enjoy.....

snowgal · 24/06/2013 16:56

I very much doubt you wear clothes with the labels emblazoned all over them, so why on earth do for a bag? Especially as the branding alone is going to double the price? Confused

HotelTangoFoxtrotUniform · 24/06/2013 17:00

A bench is a lovely idea property - these people who spend their money on bags for themselves are so selfish. Why don't they invest in something the community can enjoy?

ExcuseTypos · 24/06/2013 17:05

Mulberry don't have labels emblazoned all over them Snowgal. They just have a small brass disc.

OP they are defiinatley fakes.

propertyNIGHTmareBEFOREXMAS · 24/06/2013 17:05

Well my LV monogram scarf betrays origin quite overtly as do the red soles of my best shoes. Plenty of expensive clothing and accessories are very subtle though. People like what they like when it comes to fashion, design and art. The three are inextricably intertwined.

cardamomginger · 24/06/2013 17:25

I've said this before, and I'll say it again. I bench is not a good idea. You can only carry it for very, very short distances, and your keys and lippy fall through the slats. Impractical in the extreme.

cardamomginger · 24/06/2013 17:25

A bench
