So I did a dire dye job....

Can I fix it?
It was a (labelled) 100% cotton denim dress but I didn't like the colour. 1pack of Dylon Jeans colour later and it's now indigo, which is fine but the thread was OBVIOUSLY bloody polyester and didn't take the dye. The result is crappy. Dark denim, pale thread. The dress was v flattering. Why oh why was I so fussy about the colour. Why why why.

Can I do anything to fix. Please? TIA.

You could try bleaching it?

Thanks. Have put it in a bleach wash, but it's looking much the same. I will soak it in bleach, maybe? The dress will wither away.

Any other ideas?

Try some polyester dye to dye the thread darker? Havent tried it myself but you can buy e.g. iDye Poly...might work.

Hot wash with bio powder should fade it.

Failing that, unpick the obvious seams and resew with dark thread (or pay a friend/relative/seamstress to do so)?
