Ok, so I've posted before but this time we have a date and venue and I have a clearer idea of what I need!

Registry office, late December, restaurant reception- low key!

I would like a white/cream pencil dress, figure hugging- I'm an hour glass 10/12 at the moment (baby is 3 months) and I can zip my top shop size ten jeans up and wear them- I just have a bit of a rounded tummy/bigger arms still.

Bit of lace is fine, sleeves are fine, I'd like something low cut and special.

Please, please, help me!

Great shape, but jersey rib? Seriously?

Allthingspretty · 23/06/2013 20:12

This from TK Maxx www.tkmaxx.com/dresses/ivory-satin-embellished-one-shoulder-dress/invt/53057800

ChablisLover · 23/06/2013 20:17

I'm with mrs lettuce.

Jersey rib for your wedding dress?

The reiss with the cowl neck is stunning as is the halston dress

They are similar shapes and maybe are more special than a jersey asos dress for your special day.

I know you say it's low key but I would buy something I wouldn't wear for a normal night out.

The asos dress is nice but is it special enough??

ChablisLover · 23/06/2013 20:18

Saying that allthings tk maxx dress is gorgeous too

MortifiedAdams · 23/06/2013 20:20

Another one who thinks the jersey dress isnt fancy enough, purely based on the material.

MortifiedAdams · 23/06/2013 20:21

OOOhhh the tk maxx one is perfect!

MrsLettuce · 23/06/2013 20:29

LOve the front of the TKmaxx dress but the back is devoid of any interest at all - too much of a contrast with the front. IMHO.

Littleturkish · 23/06/2013 20:41

I promise I will go all out for my big wedding in Turkey in two years, this is just a formality and because we REALLY want to be married now- I need something I can wear to the restaurant afterwards and not feel overdressed on a Saturday afternoon in December, that vesper one is perfect.

I just hope the size ten fits!

Off to do crunches...

I really like the cowl necked Reiss one. The Vesper one isn't doing much for me, sorry.

Littleturkish · 27/06/2013 08:26

Vesper arrived- badly cut and see through- not just a little bit but transparent.

Ugh.

May wait for winter collections to start in a hope for thicker fabric offerings...

Honestly, I think you need to spend a little more. Or find something expensive reduced. My wedding dress was a £250 Monsoon dress reduced to £67 in the sale. Great quality but cheap.

MortifiedAdams · 27/06/2013 09:46

What about this? or this? or ooh this one is the nicest

QueenMaeve · 27/06/2013 10:29

Why dont you have it made? I new I'd never find a dress exactly the way I wanted it so I had my own designed. I loved the fact that it was one of a kind

sweetheart · 27/06/2013 12:36

there is a website that does wiggle dresses just like the vesper one but more expensive - I just can't bloomin remember the name of it - am googling for you and will hopefully find it!

sweetheart · 27/06/2013 13:19

Right, I think this is the company - it looks to have been rebranded since the last time I looked at the site. They have lots of tight fitting type wiggle dresses on here - lots with sleeves too, and they seem to do each style dress in most colours.

Littleturkish · 28/06/2013 11:57

Mortified- I agree, £70 clearly doesn't get you a lined dress these days!

Queen- I spoke to a dressmaker yesterday, going to visit her Monday, so yes, I agree, a good idea!

Sweet I love those too! Esp the first one, will go and have a try on. The pretty dress co is stocked in a little shop in my town, so I'm going to go and see if I can try a few on for the fit...as long as little madam allows me! 16 weeks old and only just getting the hang of this shopping lark...
