Do I tip for a free haircut?

I am always awkward when/should I tip at the hairdresser (but I normally pay so don't just because of the awkardness). However, today I'm having a free haircut as a 'model' by a trainee. Do I tip them? If so, how much?!

I would. I normally pay £35 for cut and finish so would probably give them £10 as a thank you for their time. Since they have saved me a fair bit.

If you like it, I think a fiver would fine. If you are in London, this might not be enough.

I've been a model many times and I've always tipped. How much depends on if they've scalped me or not though.

I completely forgot to get cash out and was in a rush, would it be weird if I went back tomorrow with £10?

I hate my haircut but it's not their fault, it's just a little shorter than I like it and I'm a bit precious about my hair... They were really nice during the cut though

Not weird no. I think the trainee would be rather pleased.

trainees/apprentices wages are shocking, even a few quid would make their day, it would also
give them extra confidence in their skills, with them only learning Smile
