What colour is your front door?

Mine is white atm, but wnat to paint it as it requires wiping down far too often!!

Which is supposed to be a lucky colour according to feng shui and all that?

northerner from what i know of feng shui it depends entirely which sector of your house the front door is. if it is on the left hand side of the front of your house, then dark colours are good (black, dark charcoal grey etc), if in the middle then blues and whites are good and if on the right hand side then again whites and also metallics and glass.

we've just repainted ours from red (not a very satisfactory red, more browney red) to a dark colour that is not charcoal but not black called Railings (farrow and ball). I'm totally chuffed with it and think it looks much better.

i do think red is also auspicious as that is the colour that signified success and money in the far east.

Mine is pvc (pretend wood - bleurgh) so non-negotiable. Back door is wooden and is a vile depressing beige (rented house). House is getting painted this summer and I'm toying with the idea of asking the landlady if she will paint it racing green

NO idea about feng shuit but I like the colour!

Dark Blue with a stained glass bit !

this morning it was wood

at present it is grey with undercoat

at some unspecified date in the future it will be 'Wedgewood Blue'

ooo duck egg is a lovely colour for a front door otter...

Varnished mahogany colour. I don't like it, I wish it was blue.
