Pleated midi skirt with flats at 5'5"?

Can it work or do you need to be tall and/or so extremely fashionable that you make potentially frumpy things look good?
I love this.

I'd wear it with a tucked in grey marl slouchy tshirt (unless anyone has any other suggestions.)

Depends entirely on shape of calves and ankles - if they're good, you'll look fantastic in that combination.

It will make your calves look fatter than other skirt length / heel height combinations but if you don't mind that (I don't!) go for it.

I'd never considered the shape of my calves and ankles, but ankles are very small and bony and calves slim but on the muscular side from dance - so they're good I guess.
