Need something to go with pencil skirt for wedding

I tried to find my previous wedding outfit thread but failed.

Anyway I was loriginally ooking for a prom style dress but then found gorgeous black satin pencil skirt in Coast.

It's a great length (below the knee) and flattering but have no idea what to wear with it.

Don't normally look good in shirts/blouses (am 36 D), but don't think anything flowery, fussy or ethnic would look right...

Any ideas style gurus?

Still don't know what to wear underneath jacket though. I find tops so much harder to buy than bottoms...

my mum wears them under smart jackets and then takes her jacket off in the evening, looks daft

I wear wrap blouse thing with my (one and only) pencil skirt) and don't bother with jacket.

What was hanging next to it in Coast? Would one of their bustier things work? Sometimes v good on larger norks, would also work under jacket.

Kimono top looks nice and will have a look in Coast again too. Lots of bustier tops there but I when I was there I didn't have the right bra on so they gaped somewhat and looked a bit strange.
Will go back armed with the right underwear and the skirt!
