Don't know how to put makeup on any more

As the title says... I'm 43 and worry that I'm putting eyeshadow, eyeliner etc on as if I'm still in the 1990s. What should I do?

I would look at Lisa Eldridge's videos - she's a very good make-up artist and her videos are great. She's good at explaining and has great basic videos.
Pixiwoo might also be an option - it's two sisters, both make-up artists and also great.
