Boardshorts..ok, so maybe not stylish or beautiful...

But I'd like some for the summer hols for sailing/windsurfing. Trouble is that I can't find any women's boardies which aren't stupid low-rise - if you're doing something active you don't want your shorts falling off your arse, do you? (Well, I don't). Men's are no good as they are all so long (I'm only 5'1")

Anyone know of boardshorts - or other quick-drying shorts suitable for watersports - with the waistband actually at the waist?

Thanks

Have you looked at Sweaty Betty or Title Nine?

My sensible ladies ones are Mountin life from our outdoor outlet shop.
Otherwise Men's?
Mens swim shorts are often way cheaper than women's board shorts and you get a much better choice of lengths (you just have to cut away the netting).

My teen daughter likes wearing board shorts - we usually find brands like ripcurl, roxy, O'Neil, Oakley etc are good for her. if you are anywhere near Portsmouth they have an outlet village which has lots of these brands in it. We do a shopping trip once a year there for her so she can get all her summer clothes.

Sorry didn't read the OP properly, but if you look at swim shorts not board shorts they are long and short styles and pink flowers so no one need know.

Also the word board=surfing=fashion=££££

Next have £10 men's swim shorts, Surf dime have £52 board shorts.

I tried some at mountain life, and at Trespass, they didn't come properly up to my waist. Perhaps I should try some mens - I don't mind the netting, but I'd have to cut off lots of the leg!

Are Sweaty Betty or Title Nine available on the high street please? (not even heard of the latter)

Thanks!

Yes I've been looking for Orange ones for DD (very impractical bikini)

Sweaty Betty has a few shops around, but don't think they're a high street staple (www.sweatybetty.com/page/storelocator/).

Title Nine is a US store (www.titlenine.com/), but I love the fit of their clothes... They're a bit pricey, but it's amazing quality, and the fit honestly cannot be beaten. They do ship to the UK, and their customer service is amazing, so I'm sure if you had a question about fit, if you submit your measurements, they'd be more than happy to help you out.

Happy shopping xx
