I was thinking about this today. I think mine is these shoes. I have worn them several times a week and still love them to bits.

Anyone else care to share?

my best thing so far have been my neon clutches - even if your outfit is a tad wintery as it is atm, the zara yellow one www.zara.com/uk/en/trf/handbags/basic-clutch-bag-c358041p1251501.html
and the Gap ink one from xmas are amazing

I love all the hippy Marant stuff. I had looked at the shirt Mrs CB has but in black and white. Bit pricy so got this instead and it is lovely. Also it is only £15 at Warehouse so got JL to price match.

Thanks, amber. Like the idea of the padded sole. Going to explore them. Don't think I'll go for the M and S ones as I've had bad experiences in past with shoes from there which seemed comfortable until I actually wore them for a day, when they ripped my feet to pieces.

Eliot I got a snakeskin scarf from Laura Ashley this year - grey and lemon yellow. Love it.

My best buy probably a pair of tan pointy toe flats from Aldo. They have a hidden wedge and elasticated sides and look shit on the website but they are brilliant. here

mine is a me&em black drawstring waist dress from £150 down to £45. (sold out now) I am disappointed that after only a few wears it has pilled a little but the cut and the shape and everything else about it is so perfect, I love it. Hopefully it will not pill anymore. I can wear it with flipflops for casual or add heels and hide the drawstring with my obi belt to dress it up.

Not a fan of the Marant stuff - looks amazing on the models, but on anyone over a size 8 and over the age of 22 it's going to look like leftovers from the 1990s IMO. I think it's a trickier fashion to pull off than it appears. What is it the Guardian called it - glam boho? Doesn't really work if you just bung on a blouse with jeans. Tesco sell floaty blouses every season, a lot of the Marant stuff looks not much different to me Blush

A pair of grey felt flat form brogues from River Island. Cost? £8 in sale!

this Merci-Paris bag is shaping up nicely too.

this cheapo New Look swallow print T is washing and wearing very well..

Was given this Marant wool knit coat by a friend. It was a press sample that she was given herself and doesn't Shock like....I wear it out, I wear it as a dressing gown....

And these J Crew geo-print slim leg pants. I could wear these forever.

Thanks MrsCB. Does anyone know what's the Marant sizing like - only 14 and 16 left, I am a high street 10/12 but I know some higher end brands come up smaller...

Sleepwhenidie · 15/06/2013 16:38

liberty Marant tops and jackets certainly seem to come up small so worth trying 14?

Report
MrsCampbellBlack · 15/06/2013 16:44

Agree with sleep marant can be small but the Stacey blouse is quite generous.

Go on liberty, join me in shoving on a blouse with jeans and going back to the 90's Wink

Good job I'm a size 8 albeit ever so slightly over 22.

As recommended by MN, my best buys have been
a)Toast jeans, very comfortable and wearing well reduced from £95 to £19 in the sale. Sadly, no pics available.
b) this dress which is fantastic for work. Comfortable but very smart and, according to my DH, makes me look like Jessica Rabbit
c) these Gap trousers which are great

The 90's were my best years MrsCB Wink and I did them in lots of boho draped across my then size 16/18 ass!! I was contemplating some desert boots to wear with the Stacy and jeans and the throwback would be complete.

However, after an evening of dithering I have decided against (I think!!) as I am not convinced the colour is right for me and I am planning on getting my colours done soon as I think it will make me more decisive. I have only recently started buying clothes in the Etoile type price bracket and I live in terror of an expensive mistake - in fact I have made quite a few Sad.

But thanks again for the tip off Thanks

Elemis beauty flash balm it was a freebie with Red. Liked it so much bought another copy. It is a really good make up base. I have been having problems with clinique city block and sunsense under make up as it just seems to peel off.

mrscb i would love to have a peak at our closet, bet its awesome.

amazinggg i dont think many 22 year olds can afford Isabel Marant, love her or hate her, but she just nails that boho, parisian look to perfection.almost everything she designs becomes an instant hit.
