What shoes should I wear with this dress?

I'm going to the races and to a wedding this summer and am wearing this dress but I'm struggling for shoes! I assumed I'd be able to get a pair of purple strappies or something but they're obviously not fashionable at the moment!

I'm rubbish at shoes anyway, I'm a size 8 and would like not to draw attention to it! I always find low heels look awful on me, as do platforms! Does anyone know what I should be looking for? Which ideally wouldn't cost the earth!

I'd look for either black or nude peep toes or black or nude mary jane type shoes

I know you said you don't want low heels but these really would be worth a try. Would be stunning.

Thank you invicta me too! I lusted after it for ages and only decided to order it when it became part season's stock and therefore impossible to get a hold of!! Yes MrsLettuce I just got my petticoat delivered the other day! Those ASOS shoes I've looked at actually, they have them in a pearly lilac col our and look beautiful on the model but bitter experience has taught me they'll look awful on my not so dainty feet!

OneLittleLady I do have some nude shoes I could try come to think of it!
