Ok here goes.

I need to go to an all day event at the end of the summer so I have a while to get prepared and all. I have no option but to go, I can´t miss it!

It a day into evening job, and there will be both informal bits and formal bits.

For various reasons (like my ex being there this time, along with some "old" friends) I need to look drop dead stunning and preferably drop dead stunning without any effort. ie, oh this I just throw it on this morning esk!

I am a classic hour glass shape normally a size 14 ish, but I have a couple of problem areas. Having lost a tone of weight I am not sure of which styles to go for anymore.

I don´t have great legs, they are ok from a couple of inches above me knee and my calfs are good. So I tend to wear trousers or long skirts. DH says that I should wear shorter skirts etc!

I have big upper arms and which if they are not covered make me look "wide" good forearms and wrists.

I don´t have any fashionable jewellery.

I have a small ish waist and a good clevage.

I am happy in high heals and tend to enjoy wearing "quirky" shoes

DH is not comming with me so I will be unaccompanied, his comment was that I need to start dressing sexier, and he has offered to fund a new out fit (yah) out of his bonus.

I need to look professional and well put together, but at the same time approchable and "fun", I need to be able to sit and chat in a coffee shop, give a presentation and go out in the evening! And I don´t want to have to change into different out fits, In the past I have used a jacket for presentation, Pashmina with out my jacket for "coffee" and a wrap for the evening, I also need to feel comfortable as it is very long day!

Is anyone up for the challenge of helping me find a outfit??????

I think this french connection dress could be dressed up, down, smart, casual etc. and would be flattering. Could be a bit short though depending how tall you are?

AWimbaWay · 10/06/2013 10:59

Oh link didn't work!

AWimbaWay · 10/06/2013 11:02

It's the feline wonder dress, £89

TWinklyLittleStar · 10/06/2013 11:02

What about something like this, in the pink with nude heels and the top they suggest?

inneedofrain · 10/06/2013 11:03

That would be short! I am quite tall near 6foot

My industry tends to wear black, guys have it so easy shrug the jacket lossen the tie and you are fine for coffee! Jacket on tie tightened and find for presentation.

They are very few women in my industry to so we tend to have to to try and fit in! iyswim?

Oh like that skirt, I think the quartz would work.

Quite like the top to, but would need a jacket or something?
