How much hair shoud I be shedding

I im no sure if I am losing more hair than I should. A few hairs are coming out quite often if I run fingers through hair. Is there a norm? I have had bouts of shedding before but not for a long time. This has been going on for a while.

I lose huge amounts
I block the plug several times a shower after brushing thoroughly before
I'll then lose more after

But I have more than enough and u think that's the key?
Is your hair looking thin?

It's definitely getting a bit thnner

I don't brush it as it's curly. does that make a difference
