Please could someone look at this picture of my face and tell me if I need some lipstick on?

Or should I just wash my face and start again? I'm trying something new, I usually wear red lips, neutral eyes, but it's not very summery. I need a summer look.

It's the bare lips, I feel undressed.

Lipstick is very much a winter thing IMO, in the summer it looks too much and kind of sweaty.

I'd just add a gloss, tbh.

You have very similar colouring to me. Except I have had to go lighter to cover grey hairs.
Bit of gloss and you're there, I wojld say.
I don't tend to wear lippy in summer.

From those two pics, I prefer red lips and whiter skin tbh. Who cares about summer? Go with your inner goth, I can tell you want to.

I prefer the second style, red lips and less blusher looks nicer imho but you look lovely either way tbh :)

Thank you all so much, veg kind messages, have had mini nervous fit and wipes half the eyeshadow off, replaced with red lippy.

Yes, stick with the red lips! Summer or no, it suits you beautifully. TBH I feel nekkid without lippy, usually red but sometimes a screaming pink, actually it might be a good sort of shade for you too. Usually here.

colditz you have fab eyes! Lippy looks great, but I think that making the most of your eyes while wearing a lip gloss would also work really well
