Bloody White Stuff and birds....

Their smelly ( really) catalogue arrived and it' s the same as what I saw in store this week- lots of clothes with birds. WTF! Why do they have birds, butterflies and dragonflies over it all? I hate birds and am stupid enough to be superstitious about birds in the house or on clothes.

who buys all this birdy stuff????

What superstition?!

Startail · 07/06/2013 13:26

I like birds, dragon flies and especially butterflies. I had a thing about butterflies since I was a little girl.

I'm all in favour of anything that makes designers be more inventive than ditsy flowers, large over bright granny flowers (M&S swimwear) and stripes.

I love bird prints too!

Feed you are clearly a child :) Where I was brought up, there was a superstition about birds- never have them in the house as ornaments, paintings, on clothes etc etc. Considered unlucky. Don't ask me why- it's like all other superstitions which are all illogical.

There was something about birds in the house in an episode of out numbered. Perhaps it's a SE superstition.

Or maybe, it's to ensure no flying ducks on the wall.

I'm looking for some bird patterned wallpaper for my house, some lovely designs out there.

bawabod · 07/06/2013 14:07

I was always told not to ever bring peacock feathers in the house bad luck etc etc. But moving on I did recently buy a dress from WS with I think lampshades on them I so loved the style and the colour that I decided I would overlook the twee print and would you believe it the first in ages that a couple of colleagues said how lovely it looked. Maybe it because I don't normally do prints or maybe I finally looked mumsy Sad but they knew without asking it was from WS.

I was looking for something new today and all white stuff is covered in birdy shit. Came home with nothing.

Why birds!
