Dyed my brown hair dark red, now my makeup looks wrong!

My hair is a midbrown colour and I favour the 'no make-up' make-up look (thanks to whoever on S&B introduced me to Lisa Eldridge!)

I dyed my hair 'black cherry' red yesterday, I like the colour, but my make-up looks inadequate now. In mirrors I look pale and washed out.

Do I have to go back to full smoky eyes again? Sad

Not necessarily - try an extra layer of mascara and a soft eyeliner. The Avon Supershocks Gel Pencil liner in Khaki or Blackberry (both on ebay) applied thinly and then lightly smudged with a lip brush would stand out enough despite being pretty subtle, as long as you were to wear a subtle blusher and some lip balm as well.

Thank you Nom I've heard a lot abotu the Supershock liners, I'll have a look on eBay now Smile

I found a bit of green really suited me when I went red - looks more summery too than a full smoky eye look.
Also more pink/brown tones lip glosses

I's odd for me because I finally realised that I suit peach/coral lip and cheek colours and brown eyeshadow - but they don't seem quite right with deep red hair.

So yes, pink lip colours, and green on eyes (and maybe blue/purple.) Smile

I dyed mine black cherry too!
It's faded quite a bit after 3 or 4 weeks though.

Going to go black currant next maybe :)

I still wear same makeup. I didn't notice a difference
