I'm witness at my friend's wedding next Friday and I'll be 36 weeks pregnant... I'm also going to another wedding the following Saturday so should get at least 2 wears out of it!

Ideally I'd like to keep to under £150 (ideally closer to £100) and it would be great if i could wear it after giving birth but i['m not sure if that will only be ones where they specify nursing...

I'm size 14 - 16 non pregnant but actually my figure's improved since being pregnant as my worst feature has always been my stomach which now obviously is meant to be big!

I've got good legs so would like to avoid a maxi - also tall (5 10) so they often ankle swing!

I've found some I like - I love the Tiffany rse website but difficult to stick to £150!

I'm sorry, I don't have any suggestions, but I love the pale grey tulip dress! and it does say at the bottom it can be suitable for post pregnancy to.

I may have to find an excuse to buy it!

tethersend · 05/06/2013 13:08

This is beautiful- I have it in black and bought it when I wasn't pg. it works both with and without a bump and is a lovely silky jersey fabric.

If I could wear red I'd buy it myself Grin

Thank you. mrsgsr that's my favourite and I hadn't seen the part of it being suitable for after birth. My only worry is if it comes up too short. Dresses that look knew length in pics often come up mini on me!

tethersend it's a lovely dress but not sure I can pull off red. I'm very fair with brown curly hair. I think red tends to be better on people with a bit more colour

navy?
green?
polka dot?
cobalt?
various colours

cogitosum · 05/06/2013 15:40

Thanks mrslettuce they're lovely but not dressy enough. I was originally bridesmaid but not because of pregnancy but will be witness so need to be quite smart - almost bridesmaidy.

I think I'll get the grey tulip one and hope it's not too short...

Ah, shame.
IIRC Girl Meets Dress have some maternity dresses to hire. Wish Want Wear would be worth a look too.

Are any of the dresses on this Etsy shop specializing in maternity wear any good? www.etsy.com/uk/shop/alicebmaternity

Perhaps this dress, maybe in another colour: www.etsy.com/uk/listing/109275166/cream-maternity-romance-wedding-dress?ref=shop_home_active

I really like all her dresses, and am planning to order one once I'm a bit bigger.

How about this floral number from Mamas and Papas? I liked their stuff a lot when I was pregnant. It would look lovely with a pashmina type shawl in a bright colour.

Tiffany dresses on eBay go for about £70...

bubbatime · 05/06/2013 18:04

You could buy one on eBay and then resell it and get most of your money back. Or buy a new one, sell it on ebay and get half of your money back...

cogitosum · 06/06/2013 11:44

I think I'm going to go for this one

www.tiffanyrose.com/maternity/clothing/TULG/Tulip-Maternity-Dress-(Pale-Grey).html

good suggestion to ebay it if it doesn't work after birth!

Just one more question - does anyone know the Tiffany Rose sizing?

I was a 16 prepregnancy but mostly in the stomach - legs, boobs etc closer to 14.

So would the 14 - 16 be better or 16 - 18? I'm worried about the larger one gaping at boobs..

The sizing information on the site is pretty rubbish, have you got enough time to send it back and get a different size of it doesn't fit?

I think I would be tempted to go for the 14-16
