I need some jeans which are slim/straight fit but not skinny..

That really. Skinnies do nothing for me, i've got runners calves(!) but the best pair I've ever owned were a Hudson straight leg dark blue pair from tk maxx (reduced from £200 to £20!!) which are sadly knackered.

I will spend up to about £100 for the right pair but ideally under £60. Dark wash preferably. Any recommendations? Thank you

Boden do a decent straight leg and currently 25% them good value. Not too Boden-like IYSWIM

Next had some relaxed skinny jeans which might be worth a try.

I won't buy jeans in next anymore though. I find they grow by about 2 sizes after the first couple of washes?

NYDJ Not your Daughters Jeans - in the straight style are the best I have found and so comfortable.

These from Jigsaw are the best jeans I've ever had - comfortable, and amazingly flattering.

I noticed they've changed the name in store at least (had to go but a new pair as I lost weight!) and are now called Windsor - don't know why their website is not updated!

Thanks everyone, I think I need to go and try a few. Also wondering about 7 for all mankind straights, have had a few pairs of the boot cut over the years. Need to keep my eye on brand alley for those though

They have not grown, possibly because they dont have as much stretch as normal skinnies.
