how easy is it to take in a dress?

I quite like this but they have none in my size in stock. Would it be possible for a dressmaker to adjust it?

I don't think it would be a very easy dress to take in all over. I'm not an expert dressmaker but I wouldn't like to try it!

Nothing to add except that is a beautiful dress!!

A semstress can adjust just about anything down, up is more problematic

How much too big?

If it one size then I could do it (I´m not offering btw), more than that, then a better seamstress is required!

Where do you need to take it in?

If you have skinny hips it is easy. I bought some dresses in a sale that needed 'top half' work, That is very different because of the sleeves and darts.

well I'm a 12 so would need a medium - would probably need it taking in at bust, waist and hips.

Well techincally it is possible, but you are going to need a very good seamstreas, and probably a tonne of fittings and you might find the end result is not what you had hoped.

BUT you are going to be looking a fare bit of money.

Is it worth contacting the company to see if they might be getting so more sizes in? Just in case?
