Maternity swimwear for (very) big boobs?!

Hope someone might be able to point me in the direction of a lovely one piece suitable for an 8 month bump (its huge now at 5!) that has a chance of keeping my currently 32H but have already expanded by 4 cup sizes and may keep growing boobs?

I LOVE bravissimo, panache, Fantasie etc but there seems to be nowhere catering for bra sizes AND bump.

Surely its not just me?

I usually only ever buy cup sized swimwear but bought a standard maternity swimming costume with built in soft support and it was great (non pg I am a 28J)

I think mine was from Blooming Marvellous - does that shop still exist? The other option is a bikini if you don't mind showing off your bump? My friend looked fantastic in hers. Or would a tankini stretch enough? (Maybe...)

Thanks! I'm not sure how comy I'd be in a bikini, I ordered a cheapo m&s one (size 20 top, size 12 bottom!) but feel so whale-like! im normally a bikini person but dont want to feel self conscious if i can avoid it with extra fabric.

I have google blooming marvellous and found 6 styles on mother are website. The price is great but they aren't my favourite styles yet, the boob area certainly looks better than the jojo maman bebe ones I saw earlier...

Hmmm.....I think this could prove tricky. A tankini might be an option - possibly going up a back size to give yourself a bit more tummy room? Not normally something I'd suggest but the support from, say, an underwired 34GG would still be far better than a random size 20. Looking here a lot of the Fantasie ones seem to be ruched/gathered over the tummy which would suggest extra fabric with a chance of getting over bump?

Thanks statistically I was hoping you'd come along!! I like Fantasie a lot and would definitely prefer to stay in bra sizes and could easily go u a back size which would give me more bump room, but I'm just not sure it would be enough for an 8month bump, I could definitely get away with one now at 5 months though.. Hmmm.... I'd be concerned the fabric would roll up from being tight.

I did think about buying a cheapo maternity tankini and wearing a bra sized bikini underneath, like a bra under a strappy top, but all the maternity tankinis I've seen have seams that are meant to sit under your boobs and would cut mine in half completely!

I like the Elomi ones a lot but they are not bra sized. Damn, the styles look great for a bump!

I know what you mean re rolling up - I had the reverse problem with maternity tights which always rolled down. A bit contrived but When I did dancing as a kid we had problems with our uniforms riding up, so the seamstress stitched bits of ribbon to our tops with button holes, and stitched buttons on our skirts so we literally attached them. Could you maybe find a way to attach the top to your bikini bottoms?

this is designed to be worn over another bikini top - could be any black one. MIght be able to find a cheaper version on Ebay?

oh go for the bikini, that's what I did. You will have a lovely bump to show off - no worrying about rolls or wobble or sucking the stomach in. If you already worry about being big then more fabric only makes one look more whale-like.

AnythingNotEverything · 03/06/2013 20:14

I'm having the same problem - I hoped I could do a bra sized bikini with a maternity tankini, but actually I'm thinking bikini. I'm huge too. There's no hiding it I'm afraid!

What if... I got a normal swimsuit in a bigger size...

How big do bumps get?

If I'm a size 10 pre preg (12 now) would a 36 fit ok? this is gorgeous and the back could be adjusted to be tighter...

What do you think?!

I have 1 bikini but its awful so I'd like a swimsuit so I can pick/choose!

You could actually take the back in - relatively easy job, just remove the clip and reattach. Would probably work with that shape.

I have a speedo swimsuit that is a 34. I'm quite big - waist is about a 10-12, hips are a 14-16, bust similar to you (30HH/J) and it fits with a bit of space around the waist if anything.

(can;t buy a swimsuit in my bra size as it wont go over my hips!)

Umlauf · 03/06/2013 21:41

I think ill try it! I'm a 32h panache at the moment, 30h/he in freya. I know wish you were here has generous cups, and I have 2 months to go... I know bravissimo are really flexible with returns, especially for pregnant folks!

Bum hips could be 12 or 14. I have the same swimsuit (different print) in 30f which fit fine pre pregnancy as cups big (was normally 30ff/28g)

So... 34g could be the equivalent of a 32hh allowing for a bit more bump room, But of course boobs could still grow... Or 36g allowing lots of room BUT baggy bum.

Hmm.....!
