I am size 14/16, boobs huge (36 DD) 5 foot 4, long brownish hair. Pale skin. Freckly.

2 christenings (one of which I am godmother!)

4 weddings!

(Already been to 3 this year!)

Budget 100-150 for both! First wedding and Christening in July, wedding and christening in Aug and 2 weddings in Sept. Problem I have is aug, sept weddings are same group of friends. So was going to go with 2 dresses and alternate them. Will that work you think?

Ok, I would suggest that you go for either 1 dress that you can change with different accessories, jackets, shoes etc or go for 2 or more dresses that you can use the same accessories for!

This general style works excently on me and which I am a little taller, and bigger busted our size is fairly similar

Lady V

The dresses them selves are good quality and well priced.

You would want petti coat, a jacket / bolero / shrug, some shoes and jewlery.

If you picked two or mores dresses which have a similary colour running through them, ie both had a small red area then you could pick the red out and go for a red pettie coat.

You would be best off going for a simple jacket / bolero and playing up the dress

Alternative, might be an infinety dress then you can wear it loads of different ways.

Would interchangeable skirts and tops work better - so you can alter "the look" a bit more?

fgs spell it right

INFINITY

IME those vile 50s style ones make me look like a ship in full sail, especially with tits.

I would get a cool jersey dress that will stretch over your lumps and flatter the nice bits

Nehru · 03/06/2013 14:49

htis would cover el tittage

Love those Lady V dresses. Are they all knee length, do you know?

inneedofrain · 03/06/2013 15:21

Nehru

Kindly forget my pm, you where quite correct on the other thread you did owe me an appology. It is always nicer to either ignor the mistakes of people correct the politely

The hepburn style of dresses are quite a bit longer, and depending on height / the use of a petticoat, the fulness of a petticoat they would be longer then knee lenght

I think the hepburn style wouldnt suit me! I dont think I would look good in it because I have quite big hips. I have tried this on today...

I have big hips and boobs and the lady V dresses are fab on me - I have the swing ones. I do not look like a ship in full sail because they nip in at the waist. I'm a 14/16, 30HH/J and hippy.

Ashoething · 04/06/2013 21:15

The lady v dresses are lovely-I have 5 of them and always get compliments when I wear them. They also do petticoats in s variety of colours for only £20.
