What are you "too old" for, but do anyway?

I hadn't realised that getting older involved so many rules about what you are supposed to wear/do with your own body

I was told today that now I'm nearly 40 only 37 thank you very much I should 'stop being vain' and cut my hair. No one over 30 should have long hair apparently.

My hair is currently the best it's ever looked, bra-strap length, and thanks to copious amounts of lotions and potions swishy and glossy with lots of oomph and volume

I love my hair right now (shallow) so I'll be damned if I'll cut it off

My outfit was also up for discussion, but I'd fight tooth and nail for my hair

Discussed this with DH last night and (after he told me how stylish and stunning I am - with a little prompting ) he admitted that he always admires women who "dress young". Said he thought it was something to do with self-confidence and not feeling the need to conform.

Not that I'm suggesting the opinion of men should play any part in how we dress! [Insert Feminist Emoticon Here] Just good to have another view.

I wear bikinis and I'm nearly 50. I have a long body and look awful in swimsuits.

I sometimes wear a line of glitter over my eyeliner on my top lashes, just a smidgen and it makes my eyes look more awake.

I have long gel nails.

I wear crimplene slacks and a smart jersey top with deer embroidered on it or a pretty blouse.
I have a smashing bob, Rod at the local hairdressers does it..
I like velcro trainers so they're nice and comfy.
