Shopping challenge - purple shoes for 3yr old DS

Hello, am not very stylish or beautiful so bear with me while I venture in here! I have a shopping challenge for you: DS (aged 3)has requested purple shoes. Alas he has worked out already that pink is 'for girls' so nothing from clarks will do, as he does not want patterns or too much pink or sparkles. Fr example this - which I like - is no good apparently www.clarks.co.uk/p/20349598

I showed him this picture www.superga.co.uk/item/Brand_Superga2750BebjBabyClassic_0_0_777_1.html?ref=froogle&gclid=CMqW6IyTxrcCFe7JtAod8UgA-g
Which he is very keen on but they only comes in baby sizes. I need a size 9g and would prefer to have them fitted in a real shop (am in SW London if that helps)

I realise I sound a bit mad letting a three year old send me on a shoe hunt - I usually march him to the local clarks and buy whatever fits - but I am getting bored of the endless sea of sludge colours for boys and would like to encourage a bit of variety on the high st. Anyone feeling bored who fancies a bit of searching for me? Cheers!

Have a look in office, I think they have purple van's.

MortifiedAdams · 02/06/2013 21:32

Purple converse?

5madthings · 02/06/2013 21:38

Kickers, vans or converse will be your best bet.

When ds1 was little he had some purple boots that were goretex and made by elephanten, they made lovely shoes all bright and fun colours for boys and girls and then they were bought out by clarks :(

Clarks are a bit dull aren't they? I am not massively fussy but it would be nice to have a choice other then brown or blue, dinosaurs or robots. Sigh. Anyway thanks v much for all your help, lots of good options, ta.

Clark's are crap and dull.'my boys have wide feet so they don't fit anyway, we get European shoes like ricosta, geox, ecco etc. My dd just got some lovely green ones by a make called petasil?
