Panic! I need a swimsuit/tankini that will hold in my bosom!

I go on holiday in two weeks and my old pre-child swimsuit is just not cutting it.

I need something with support in an F cup. Recommendations?

Bravissimo !

DuchessFanny · 31/05/2013 16:44

Oops ! Meant to say, they have hidden support for pulling in tums and proper bra support for big boobs, I had a lovely halter neck tankini that I wore to death from there !

mrscumberbatch · 31/05/2013 16:54

This might sound totally weird but I absolutely despise going into Bravissimo.... it's a bit like having to wear orthopaedic shoes and going into special shops for them but for your boobs.

I hate having big boobs and just want to shop in a regular shop like a regular person.

LandsEnd?

mrscumberbatch · 31/05/2013 16:59

I've never looked at Landsend before.... it's very plain. If I am going to fork out £50 on a swimming costume I don't want to be bored to death by it Wink

Tesco online! I got two from there in an F and they're fab!

Izzybuzzybuzzybees · 31/05/2013 17:02

I got this and this one depends if you like them though! Fit is great

mrscumberbatch · 31/05/2013 17:03

None of the tesco ones have any underwiring or extra support Sad

Is this a sign of the recession? Everyone is cutting back on fabric/construction so we're relegated to flimsy swimwear?

I really like the spotty one Izzy. I might go in and try it on but the model's bust looks weird in the picture.... a bit of underwiring would improve it 100% (also teeny wee straps for massive norks!)

Figleaves sell a lot of the same stuff as Bravissimo. There's always a sale/discount code/free delivery online if you search, and you can view by cup size on their website.

YoniOneWayOfLife · 31/05/2013 17:11

Having said that, I used to save a tummy sucking in underwired bra swimming costume and I couldn't get it over my bum most of the time Blush so consider a tankini Grin

PeriPathetic · 31/05/2013 17:12

Panache are brilliant as are Fantasie. You buy them by cup size and they have real, underwired bras in them. Brilliant!

superbagpuss · 31/05/2013 17:12

I'm only E cup but I find tesco OK for me

DuchessFanny · 31/05/2013 17:20

I do know what you mean mrscumberbatch I felt a bit upset when I first shopped at Bravissimo, felt ridiculous to go 'specialised' but sadly at 36GG don't have much choice - still it is getting better than it was and a lot of shops now go past F ( M&S ?)

mrscumberbatch · 31/05/2013 17:30

There was a fab swimsuit in M&S but it is sold out online and in store. (i've tried a few)

Clearly all the busty women are bored of the same old floral/mumsy looking things and so the minute something looks remotely good they pounce!!

Scouring Figleaves now! (Yoni- Lol @ getting stuck in a swimsuit, I've done the same with a bodyshaper post-DD and had to cut myself out of it!)

Let us know if you find anything gorgeous !! Good luck ( know what a bleeding nightmare it can be !)

MrsLettuce · 31/05/2013 17:36

I'm norky too and have an Esther Williams suit. It was more than I wanted to pay but hell am I happy with it.

MrsLettuce · 31/05/2013 17:38

here
here
loads of reviews on modcloth

mrscumberbatch · 31/05/2013 17:39

I've now scoured all of Figleaves, they sell mostly bikinis which is not my thing, the swimsuits/tankinis that look nice in the pictures all have terrible reviews.

weeps

Going to have a look at Esther Williams now.

At this rate I'll be ordering a Burqini!

WKD don't have much choice but might appeal

MrsLettuce · 31/05/2013 17:40

tankinis are the work of the devil and should be made illegal

Awks · 31/05/2013 17:45

Ibe just bought a bikini in a G from Boux Avenue - they had loads to chose from and the store was lovely What about this one www.bouxavenue.com/swimwear/bikinis-and-tankinis/page,6

mrscumberbatch · 31/05/2013 17:49

Have just come across Red Or Dead's swimwear line, but it seems to be difficult to find out the sizing, opinions vary all over the place.

Might get one to try out

The tesco ones that I linked to both have underwiring. I have both of them. The straps are a bit crap though however they held my full of milk norms up ok and I could have worn them strapless happily if I so wished as they did support me well!

Izzybuzzybuzzybees · 31/05/2013 17:54

*norks!
