Did your skin behave terribly when you stopped taking the pill?

Hi all - I am in my mid 30s and have really oily skin which behaves beautifully and looks lovely while I take the Pill, but has kicked off extremely badly whenever I've stopped (think teenage-style acne rebellion). It was also great while I was pregnant, weirdly. Same blend of hormones?

Just wondering if there are some products I should be starting to use now before I stop taking the Pill again (ttc) that might help calm things down. It's so depressing to see clear skin ravaged by spots that scar for months and months afterwards.

Thanks!

I have this same problem, I have endo too which means my hormones are all over the place.

I find a good cleanser containing salicylic acid helps, and a night serum or spot gel to keep things at bay.

But at the moment I am really struggling and the bottom line is hormones.

Women with pcos suggest avoiding sugar as this affects hormonal skin but I am too weak to try it!!!

Meant to say, Ren Mayblosson cleanser and their overnight serum for blemished skin works ok.

I use oil free make up and moisturiser too, but precleanse using facial oils, I think double cleansing is important.
