I like tea dresses but they can be a bit girly
I want one without a bow anyway
I used to have a nice brora one but it tied with a bow so I sold it

Bump because selfishly, I'd like to know of a good tea dress that I can carry off without looking like Olive from On the Buses.

one of these?

KinNora · 31/05/2013 16:16

Thanks MrsL I quite like the peacock feather and parrot prints.

littlediamond33 · 31/05/2013 17:23

have a look on vivien of holloway website.

MrsLettuce · 31/05/2013 17:30

Ooh, totally missed their day dresses. How? Not that I can afford them anyway [grumph]

Tara Starlet has a couple that are well worth a look too.

MrsLettuce · 31/05/2013 17:32

Also, maybe check out get cutie.

Remember most of these dresses aren't made to modern patterns, is essential to check their size charts carfully before ordering.

Cath Kidston does some nice ones - less girly than most of her range simply because they are in plain colours - I have a lovely royal blue one and a yellow one. What's nice about them is the fabric (a 40s style crepe) and the cut.

Also Silk & Sawdust always worth a look. www.silkandsawdust.com/

Corrrr, I like the Tara Starlet Polkadot dress. Thank you all for your lovely suggestions

tara starlet floral sweetheart dress

I'm 5ft 10 so i'm thinking the length would be just below the knee and the pattern wont swamp me.

cornypedicure · 31/05/2013 19:47

oooh I was looking at that dress as well - I love the blue/black floral and the yellow floral
