J Crew- Does anyone know if it is good quality?

I'm wondering about taking a risk and ordering a couple of things from J Crew online. I'm after a sweater and a couple of t shirts.
Does anyone know what the quality is like? The prices seem quite high- definitely higher end high street. Are they much better quality in keeping with the prices?

I lurk a bit on mn vogue 11 and a lot of the posters on there seem to like it.

I ordered a top, waiting for it to be delivered. Should be this week some time, I'll let you know. I hope its good, some of the stuff on their website is really lovely!

I have a heap of their cashmere. Fab quality, and has held up far better than a lot of other 'designer' knitwear brands.

Brilliant customer services too apparently.

My only experience with them was buying a handbag (the Biennial Hobo) at Christmas. It broke within six weeks (the shoulder strap split) and was returned for a full refund.

Their customer service was fab, though!

The stuff here in the US is good quality, but it's ridiculously over priced for what it is, which is basically posh Banana Republic (which is truly just posh Primark most of the time).

Sorry, that sounds pretty miserable - it is nice stuff though!

J. Crew is much better quality than M&S - far superior materials, construction and style.

It's generally good quality and I agree the cashmere is fab. Definitely better quality and design than M&S. They are offering 25% off all sale items at the moment.

J Crew Factory is good value though the fit and quality may not be so good as the main line.

Half my wardrobe is J Crew, some items have been there from its previous iteration and are over 20 years old. Yes, very good quality, good fit, and will last.

GRAZIA25 gets 25% off.

I like the fact they have a good petite range and even in their main range go down to xxs.

Agree their cashmere is lovely.

I looked in M&S for a jumper the other week, honestly, every single one had acrylic in it

I bought a polo neck sweater from them via NAP but unfortunately it was substandard quality and I returned it.

Jenna Lyons is doing very good work for the brand and they are getting lots of extra press boost right now - see here. They used to be the mainstay preppy option, but their designs have become sharper and more fashion oriented - I quite like their bright basics.

Quality fine but I think that it is a bit over hyped. Beware the tissue tshirts/tops. They are see through and called tissue because the fabric is very thin.

Just ordered a few bits with 25.% discount, like the fact they have free returns. Cheers for the code. Really curious to see what stuff is like as first time I've tried them.
