Should have added that I am desperate for some nice new summer clothes but haven't a clue where to start

This entire season I purchased 3 things which I am pretty happy with - not a lot, but they kinda blew my budget anyway.

These shoes:

This blouse:

And this bag:

Need a decent summer mac now but no luck. Will likely find it when winter sets in about mid way through Aug Grin

I haven't bought any 'pieces' but the things I am most happy with are -
Cos cigarette trousers
Cos mesh jumper
Cos gold cuff
Leather Converse

WipsGlitter · 25/05/2013 21:42

A grey marl maxi skirt from Matalan. Planning on wearing it tomorrow. Also found my old knackered sandals (thought I'd thrown them out) got them repaired today for £7.50 - very happy as I couldn't find any I liked as much as them.

I love the bag ToastedTeacakes

Yes = gorgeous bag.

ToastedTeacakes · 25/05/2013 21:52

thanks! it actually feels worth the price in real life, thank god!

Corygal · 25/05/2013 22:14

Gap drapey maxi dress is a cracker

oscarwilde · 25/05/2013 22:26

Spanx :-(

LaTrucha · 25/05/2013 22:35

I've been wondering about that maxi dress but have only seen it online. Tell me more!

Corygal · 25/05/2013 22:44

Well, not only is it a scanty 23 quid but it's made of that nice soft modal, the blue is a superb flattering yet non-boring cobalt, and best of all it's not insanely long. The cowl neck isn't revealing and one can wear a bra.

LaTrucha · 26/05/2013 07:18

Sounds all good. I am spending madly! Thanks. ish. Wink

novelsituation · 26/05/2013 07:19

The best thing I've bought is this navy broderie jacket from Whistles. It looks great with jeans at the weekend and I've worn it to work with a navy pencil skirt.

novelsituation · 26/05/2013 07:20

Sorry, Jigsaw, not Whistles

novelsituation · 26/05/2013 07:24

It's unfortunately polyester rather than silk, but I also love this dress from Hobbs. Unusually for Hobbs, I had to size up.

Have worn it to a work event with a navy cardigan, and out for a meal with DH with a dark denim jacket.

LaTrucha · 26/05/2013 22:14

I ordered it!

Gillybobs · 26/05/2013 23:24

I've bought three pairs of these, they are so good

www.boden.co.uk/en-GB/Womens-Petite-range/WM329/Womens-Bistro-Crop-Trouser.html

Only good if your calves are fairly slim, judging by comments I've seen on MN, but the cut and the quality are amazing

LaTrucha · 27/05/2013 08:01

I bought some of those too (though not because of this thread ) Blush

CountBapula · 27/05/2013 08:08

I bought this merino wool knitted jacket thingy from Me & Em. It has that Chanel bouclé jacket vibe. It's beautiful - really comfy, smart without being formal, and great with jeans and a tee on bloody freezing cooler days.

Pinkflipflop · 27/05/2013 14:08

Ohhhh I love the Em and Me jacket thingy!! It's looks gorgeous Smile

Is it thick/heavy? Have you worn it over a dress?

Allthingspretty · 27/05/2013 15:21

Toasted what about this mac? www.theoutnet.com/product/357392

Sonotkylie · 27/05/2013 17:33

Thermals.
Oh and those Gap slim legged crop trousers ... But not together

CountBapula · 27/05/2013 21:23

Pinkflipflop it's not heavy at all but still nicely warm. Haven't worn it with a dress but I think it'd work.

amazingface · 28/05/2013 07:32

Toasted I adore your Marant blouse. How does it wash and what's the sizing like?
Bag and shoes also great, of course :)
