Gypsy skirts

I'm aware that gypsy skirts probably had their day in about 2007 :) but I'm not a follower of fashion, and I like them so wear them loads in the summer, and I've never had trouble finding them.

I can probably call them maxi skirts if that sounds any more fashionable? :)

I'll still be wearing them, but just wondered if fashionistas will be pointing and laughing at me, or if a long, teired skirt could be considered a sort-of-summer-classic?

i've seen a few in the shops this year so they are not 'out' of fashion anwyay

The problem is when something has been very much in fashion as they were in 2005 then they very quickly date and become very much 'out'. I wouldn't wear one and would assume anyone wearing one just wasn't bothered about fashion.

I think it is fine, I would just think it is a typical casual summer outfit

Oh dear, was it 2005? even worse!

Well, it's true, I'm not especially bothered about fashion, so that's OK.

I don't wear those leather belts made out of circles of leather that everyone wore with them back then.

I just think that long skirts have been worn for, what? 2000 years? must be fairly classic, right?
