Full bikini wax or not?

So I'm used to being waxed on my legs, eyebrows and bikini line but I'm wondering whether its worth having the whole shebang? As in, do I get on all fours and have from my flange to my bum whipped of its hair...? I'm curious as to how painful it is?

It is a theory in this context as it hasn't been proven to be effective. Waxing is not a prolonged pain like a headache, toothache or earache which these painkillers work best for. It is recommended more for the placebo effect rather than having a true effectivness.

Thank you very much! That's saved me an awkward conversation on the day x

Use Emla cream. It is fantastic, takes most of the pain away. I could never even have a normal bikini wax before, now I have a full bikini wax and hardly feel anything. I also use it on my upper lip and eyebrows before threading.

I've just stopped having mine done fully after DH said it feels like the rough side of Velcro as it grows back. He said novelty wore off when the end if your penis encounters spiky bits. Like running the gauntlet to get to the prize!!!

I've stopped doing this as I find I get cystitis when I'm "bald" down there.

I would go for the full wax. But afterwards, when you see re-growth, just shave daily in the shower. It takes 2 minutes to do pits and down below if it's short and if you shave daily it never gets itchy or red. I think it feels cleaner!

I had a couple of Hollywood waxes but got really horrendous in-growing hairs. I now have a 'high leg bikini wax' & trim the rest myself. I found it very embarrassing having the Hollywood but as I didn't know the therapist it made it easier - it's not something I would let my friend do (who is a beauty therapist & who does my wax now)

I dont get why you would shave daily when after waxing it starts to grow out again.. And, if you have the wax then it starts to regrow after a couple of weeks or so, you cannot wax again until there is a proper regrowth. So a clean wax, would only really be clean & smooth for a short while. Im wondering if all the pain is worth it??

Bumping as I am curious re the shaving after waxing...
