Leather dresses - yay or nay?

I was in TK Maxx yesterday and saw some leather dresses

It was sort of matte black leather (not shiny), just above knee length, sleeveless shift dress style

I tried it on and really liked it, I have a night out in a few weeks and it would look fab with some black heels.

A bit like this, but longer and not shiny

However, DH made some wisecrack about needing a whip and handcuffs so I put it back

And, are they all hot and sweaty?

I went back to TK Maxx to have a look today, without DH, and still loved it so I snapped it up.

It was half the price of the grey one above, gorgeous soft leather and really simple and being black it will go with everything and hopefully won't date.
