Can you please spare a couple of minutes to see if this will suit me?

I have added a couple of photos to my profile, at the moment weight wise I am in between.

Do you think I would suit this cut?

Thank you in advance Smile

cocolepew · 20/05/2013 22:18

Yes Smile

ThreeDaughtersLoveSandwiches · 20/05/2013 22:23

Thank you for taking the time to look.

At the moment my hair is a lot longer and I wear it up all of the time so wanted a change. I worry as my face can look quite round and fat so most short styles would look daft.

Thanks again, getting stupidly excited now Grin

Oh yes! As long as you keep it soft around the face it would look lovely. I also think you'd suit the Ginnifer darker colour too.

ThreeDaughtersLoveSandwiches · 20/05/2013 22:27

I do prefer my hair when it is darker but it really shows the grey Hmm

ggirl · 20/05/2013 22:30

Hmm I'm not sure , I think you'd suit something slightly longer , chin length at least

ThreeDaughtersLoveSandwiches · 20/05/2013 22:53

Thanks I will speak to the hair dresser. Last time I had my hair cut I had an a line bob but wasn't that impressed.

I really need a change as feeling so fed up but also don't want to look like an idiot!

As some one with hair just like yours who took a risk the plunge with a cut like that last year I would say no, don't do it.

It is such a drastic move and really does change the shape of your face, I think a looser longer cut would suit your face shape better.

And if you are used to wearing it up the shock of having to faff every morning will move you onto pinning it back within a week or two whilst praying for it to grow again.

That's my opinion, hope I haven't offended!

ThreeDaughtersLoveSandwiches · 20/05/2013 22:59

Not offended, I posted her for honest opinions.

Thank you, it is a lot to think about.

That fringe will drive you batshit. A sniff of wind and it'll be all over the place!

cherhorowitz · 20/05/2013 23:07

Do you remember Sarah Harding's/the Posh bob from a few years ago? I think that could work. Soft around the face to frame it but shorter in the back so it's easier to deal with. The fringe will be a PITA.

BriansBrain · 20/05/2013 23:14

Phew Smile

ThreeDaughtersLoveSandwiches · 20/05/2013 23:16

Do you mean like this

Yep! Is it something you like? You could do it with just one side but I have a feeling you'd need both sides to balance it out.

ThreeDaughtersLoveSandwiches · 20/05/2013 23:23

That was kind of what I was going for last time but it didn't really look like that. Maybe if I try and get an appointment at the local Toni and guy it would turn out a bit better.

OP posts:
Nagoo · 20/05/2013 23:23

It's such a massive change.

I'd work up to it, get something I fancied a bit longer, just in case you can't deal with the shock!

cherhorowitz · 20/05/2013 23:24

Get an appointment with a stylist you feel comfortable with and go for that length. Show photos and show with your hands where you want the longest pieces to fall so they really know what they're aiming for.

You can always go shorter from that style to the Ginnifer but you can't grow it back without a lot of time or money for extensions.

BOF · 20/05/2013 23:29

I think it's gorgeous.

ThreeDaughtersLoveSandwiches · 21/05/2013 07:27

Thank you all for the replies.

I think I am going to initially go for something like Sarah Harding had and if I get on with it (and lose some weight) have the Ginnifer cut later on.

cocolepew · 21/05/2013 13:18

I had my hair like that for a couple of years, I have a very fat round face and I thought it suited me fine.
