Children's summer weight waterproof coats

Can anyone recommend some children's summer weight water proofs?

I would prefer waterproof rather than shower proof and I'd like good quality but I'm pretty flexible regarding styles, colours etc..

Please point me in the right direction before my lovely children melt in their winter coats....

I understand what you mean, but I am not sure that you can get lighweight and waterproof. I think lighweight tends to be showerproof.

I like Hatley raincoats. They're properly waterproof and have some lovely patterns on. They are lined but not lots so are still ok for warmish days. Have a look an ebay, I just found one with bears on for DS for under £10 including postage!

Thanks off to google Hatley!

Bike I know It's just that we live in a place that gets mostly wet summers. I' d rather they didn't get too wet at break time!!

We've had Muddy Puddles waterproofs in the past; very good and not too heavy.

Thanks for the suggestions so far everyone.

Petit Bateau raincoats are lovely, durable, waterproof, and not too heavy.

Didriksons children's stuff is really good. Practical, but also bit different, nice fabrics. Also have lots of things on them to pull them in so they last ages, which is handy.

And it is actually waterproof; well tested up here Smile

Really lightweight but waterproof and windproof - Jojo Maman Bebe pixie jacket (a kind of pacamac). Bought one along with matching trousers for my toddler and love them.
