Inspired by people on here, I am trying to negotiate the shift from little flippy skirts to studied elegance as I leave the golden fields of my 30s.

This is hard.

I am size 8, 5ft 1. Hence have to risk assess for 40 year old trying to look like young gel and failing.

ARE you? Still flipping, I mean? Terms, I am so glad. I thought we couldn't.
What do you wear with your flip? Are you D&Ms or high heels?

Yes, still flip-skirting it here. For the winter I've been wearing opaques and mum biker boots (the Norley ones from clark's), or ankle boots. Ankle boots have a heel, about 7cm I guess. In them all day so I wouldn't manage any higher. I don't know what I'll do for summer, longer skirts I suppose. I get most compliments in my skirts.
