Black shoes for work - your opinions?

Having just read that summer is going to be another washout - I'm looking for some black shoes for work (as opposed to some nice sandals!) - it's been so long since I've had to buy work shoes, I don't trust my own opinions - and so would be grateful for your opinions on these: www.clarks.co.uk/p/20353797 and also these: www.clarks.co.uk/p/20352221 - I work in a fairly casual environment and need to be comfortable. Definitely not the second! The first ones are ok depending on what you'll be wearing them with?

I like the first ones but not the wedges.

Where did you read about the washout summer? I was pinning my hopes on a scorcher

Sorry don't like either but out of the two the first are acceptable.
How about these I have them in the heather suede and they are quite comfortable.
