What kind of (cheap) watches are nice these days?

I haven't worn a watch for over ten years (mainly because I don't like them) but now find I need to wear one at work.

So what's nice in watches these days? I've been looking at other people's but it doesn't help.

The watch would need to be cheap (does a nice cheap watch exist?!). I am very small boned and have wrists like a child, so big and chunky won't work but I don't want anything that looks really delicate and ladylike either, because that's not my style at all.

Can anyone help, with my totally awkward requirements?

Ah-ha! I might have a suggestion you'd like: Claire's Accessories do lovely watches for between £10-20.

I love watches and like to change them a lot. I have ones by Dolce ad Gabbana, Fossil and Bench but I have to say that I am really enjoying wearing my £11.99 jobbie from Claire's.

Like you, I have small, child-like wrists and the watch I'm wearing today is a thin, leather-effect thong that wraps around my wrist. It has small gold studs for decoration that don't look cheap at all IMHO, with a delicate small gold face.

I really like it. I've had it for about 4m and it hasn't tarnished at all. I'd buy a cheapie from there again!

Sorry, just read that you don't like delicate! The good news is that there are lots of styles to choose from :)

I have had small, mens style watches from Sekonda. They are quite cheap and last for years.
