Do these shoes go with this dress (AKA can I wear flip-flops to a wedding)?

The wedding will be in a hot country in July. It will be quite casual, and I'm really not a 'heel' person, although I could cope with about a 2" heel if I had to. I like those shoes because I could dress them down so I'd at least get some wear out of them afterwards.

Thoughts or alternative suggestions appreciated :)

If the wedding is fairly casual as you say then I think you could just get away with wearing those. Given that it's in a hot country also makes the shoes you're thinking of a favourable option. I'd go for it if it were me a

I cant see the shoes - but I would wear sandals (flat) to a wedding in a hot country. Probably not flip flops though unless quite pretty and elaborate (this is why I need to see the link!)

I agree don't think the dress and shoes work together, dress too ermmm... dressy and the flip flops although cute aren't in the same league as the dress. Different dress if the wedding is to be casual? Maxi dresses and flip flops work in my experience

Beautiful dress. I want it, but have no excuse.

Phone refusing to let me see shoes.

I'd stick formal sandals not flip flops on with that dress, I also don't do heels or any form of court shoes.

my mum wore flip flops to my sisters wedding last year well fit flops, I think in a hot country in mid July then they are fine, as long as they're not cheap 2 quid flip flops I think you'll be fine

I like the shoes and the dress. I think the shoes are fine for a casual wedding in a hot country, but they need a less structured, more floaty dress IMO

Damn Wink You've all confirmed what I was half-thinking. Casual shoes fine for casual wedding with casual dress, but too casual for that dress.

Back to the drawing board then :)

Lovely dress but no, definitely not with those flip flops, you will look like you forgot to pack the shoes you meant to wear!
