I already have a BBH which I love but is the instyler better? I have thin wavy, bit frizzy hair but a lot of it. Layered just below the shoulders and I wear it quite big and wavy. Instylers are cheap (er) on groupon at the moment so am considering for my bday.
Reviews are very mixed. Anyone have experience of these?
TIA

I have one completely fried the ends of my hair !!!! Think if you have strong coarse hair that can take the heat it would be great as it does give a good curl but it does take its toll on condition.

Probably wont bother then as condition is not great. Have you tried a Babyliss Big Hair? How do they compare? I like lift at the roots and the installer looks like it may not be good at this. Also the BBH barrel can be rotated either way - I imagine it must be difficult to do one side if the barrel only rotates one way.

Hi yes I have a big hair too they are completely different I think the in styler is supposed to be able to give root lift but only on short hair can't see how you would get lift from it on long hair as it is more like a curling tong. I got the instyler to curl the ends of my hair which it does do but kills the condition with the big hair I get less curl but more volume and bounce.

I want one. I have a BBH, but tbh I never use it. It doesn't dry straight as my hair is very curly.

My hair is pretty robust. Doesn't the Instyler have a temperature gauge?

jackie check out groupon they are about £45 I think.
I'm not going to bother I don't think.

I read the title of this thread. I clicked on it. I read the thread. And now I'm consumed with the idea that I probably need one of these Instyler things and I will have fabulous hair all day every day if I do. I am a hair and beauty marketing person's dream. Grin I'd never even heard of an Instyler five minutes ago, but clearly in the last five minutes my life has become incomplete because I don't have one. but I can't afford to waste money so I'm not going to. But what if it is the best thing ever? And I'm missing out? Head explodes

Jackie It has three temperature settings according to hair type. Best way to describe the instyler is a spinning curling tong. If tongs are no use on your hair then chances are this wont suit either.
