Maybelline gel 7 day nail varnish

It was recommended on here, I can't remember who by but its fab.

Normally I don't get more than 48 hours of nail varnish on my fingernails before chipping and that's with chanel/Essie/seche vite.

But this one lasted 5 days before the first chip. And its buy one get one half price in boots.

Really really?

I've got Rimmel Salon Pro (Kate Moss recommended) which claims to last up to 10 days and it doesn't appear to be any more resilient than any other nail varnish.

Honestly, I did 3 coats of the rose poudre so quite a neutral colour but 5 days. And its £4 a bottle.

Trill I can get slightly more wear out of Rimmel Pro and I LOVE the colours and the way it goes on, def not 10 days though!

£4 a bottle is a bargain!

I think I get more wear out of Rimmel Pro than the very new Rimmel Salon Pro (they're different, but with very similar names!)

Oh are they different? I thought the bottles had just been revamped.

They are advertising them as being different. And both are on sale, it looks like "new additional product", not "update to existing product".

I have just checked what I bought on Saturday.

I have the 402 Urban Purple from the Rimmel Pro range but in the new Salon Pro bottle.

I am confused now!

Hmm. The way they advertised it was definitely "this is a new thing"...
