Why can't I find a trenchcoat with a hood?

I've spent hours on the internet and today have visited every shop in Kingston from MaxMara to BHS.

I fail to believe that they don't exist and am launching the MN Hooded Trench Challenge...

I have one, the Fetching by Aigle. It's properly waterproof and the hood is detachable (buttons). Wish they did a new shorter one in bone white - great craftmanship and much easier to wear and keep clean than the traditional cotton trenches.

The Aigle Fetching one has a hood.

I got one recently half price and the quality is very good.

I have the Aigle fetching as well. They have a newer one out that looks slightly shorter but still has a hood.

here it is

Thanks. That one's certainly the right length. I was ideally hoping for navy - I look a bit ill in neutral colours...

Thanks for all your replies. I'm still dithering. I do like the thigh-length Aigle but it's more than I was planning to spend. I'm still stuck on the colour. Having had a look at other mums in the playground in stone/beige coats today with my colouring (blondish and quite pale skin) they didn't seem to look like death warmed up so I'm wondering if I should pursue a more neutral colour afterall?

The good thing about the Aigle coats is that they are seam sealed, waterproof, windproof and breathable and the quality is really good so will last you for years.

I'm sure I found that one with 50% off when I was looking for myself. Will see if I can find it again.

aha!

If you're blondish and pale then the stone / beije colour will look great on you, just be careful not to get a yellowish beije if you don't have warm undertones.

I'm dark and I'm the one who can't wear a beije mac! Smile
